Use closeness as a feature
A disposable-camera photo often works because the subject is near the lens. Friends lean in, the flash catches the foreground and the background becomes secondary. Start with a photo that already has that kind of proximity.
If the source is a wide landscape, the effect may feel disconnected. A tighter crop can help, but do not crop away the gesture or relationship that makes the image matter.
Let the flash do the talking
The Disposable preset raises contrast and color in a way that suggests direct light. Keep the intensity moderate when the original photo is already bright. In a dark scene, a stronger setting can make the subject feel more present without needing a heavy vignette.
A little color imperfection is useful. A lot of random noise is not automatically authentic; it can simply hide detail.
Export a separate memory
Use the editor’s download action to create a new JPG. The original image remains untouched, so you can compare versions or try a different camera mood later.
The best disposable-camera edit is rarely the cleanest one. It is the one that makes the moment feel close enough to remember.
